The duke Swantepolk II. of Pommerellen stayed on the castle Dirlow.

The monastery Buckow was created.

Probably the first establishment of Rügenwalde, the country of Rügenwalde was at this time at the pledge possession of the prince Wizlaw II. of Rügen.

On 5 February 1271 the city Rügenwalde (Ruyenwolde) was mentioned the first time by Wizlaw II., duke of Rügen, in a deed of donation. With this document, issued on the castle Schlawe, conveyed the duke two house places and two "Hufe" ⁴⁾ country at Rügenwalde to the monastery Buckow.

The Castle, which became pertinent country Schlawe, together with Rügenwalde, for 3600 Marks sold to the Markgrafen (count) from Brandenburg.

The castle Dirlow was mentioned for the first time in a documentary.

Duke Mestvin II. of East Pomerania died.

1296

The Pomerania struck Poland at the lake of Buckow. The castle Dirlow destroyed taking off the Polands. The old castle area is probably the building site of the later castle of Rügenwalde.
