Red with a silver sign foot: silver fish-griffin above, which runs out of the body centre in a fishtail; at the sign foot of two against-diagonal blue brooks.

Jesko, the second son of the powerful Woiwoden Swenza, had been used in the year 1300 by king Wenzel II. from Boehmen to the Kastellan the countries Rügenwalde and Schlawe; both cities of this name lead therefore the coat of the arms animal of the Swenzonen, a fish-griffin, in their seals.
With that, the first half of 14th Century the one which can be charged: "+SIGILLVM : CIVITATIS: RUGENWALT" (19mm) the same appears between two branches of oak over waves. Also still that 14. Century belonging: "+ S CIVITATIS + RUGENWALT" (38mm) has the monster alone in one with small crosses covered field. In royal public records to Stettin on a document of 1552 a present: "o S: CIVITATIS: RUGENWALT" (35mm, writing on ribbon), also still the small crosses lets go away. On: "SIGILLUM CIVITATIS RUGENWALDE" (30mm) of the end 16. Century brings a coat of arms: in the sign alone the fish-griffin, on the helmet a mill wheel. Likewise a coat of arms with the mill wheel on the helmet, but with divided sign: above fish-griffin, down the against-diagonal brooks, has at 17. Century belonging: "SIGILLUM CIVITATIS RUGENWALDENSIS" (45mm). On both sidesof the coat of arms is a rooted deciduous tree, whose trunk the helmet covers bound. An agilely later: "SIGILL CIV RUGENWALD" (oval, 24:21mm) has in the sign only fish-griffin, on that helmets only a large three-blade crown. On the other hand again the same coat of arms like the beforehand described and also the same transcription carries a still available, from that for 18. Century of coming stamps (oval, 50:45mm). A small, that 17. Century belonging Signett with: "S C RUGENW" (oval, 18:16mm) has only the fish-griffin in the field, against which: "* DER STADT RUGENWALDE INSIEGEL" (28mm) from that 18. Century the same floating over two cross-river, and a seal it left beside two, manufactured at 1800, which has right flank of the sign accompanying rivers. The newest seals have the picture in a sign and over this, described above, a brickwork, which is occupied with a small millwheel - figures of the three oldest seals in "Dannebergs Pommerscher Münzgeschichte", bar 24.
